“If you go down in the woods today you better not go alone
It's lovely down in the woods today but safer to stay at home
For every bear that ever there was will gather there for certain
Because today's the day the Teddy Bears have their picnic”

Today is National Teddy Bear Picnic Day, one of Norbert’s favorite celebrations! In honor of this special day he has a few tips for having the best picnic in the park!

Grab your teddy:
Having a special teddy is an invite to join them on their picnic. Get all your friends to grab their bears so they can all enjoy the celebration together. Teddy bear picnics have been going on for over 100 years all over the world so its important to keep the tradition rolling.

Picnic basket goodies:
Your teddy really likes to have a lot of snacks to enjoy with his friends. Norbert’s favorite goodies are honey sandwiches, blueberries, teddy graham cupcakes, and chocolate milk.

Sing, sing, sing:
In 1907 the “teddy Bear Picnic” Song was written by John Walter Bratton. This song was the reason these picnics came to be. Teach everyone the song so you can all sing together. Norbert also likes to sing “Going on A Bear Hunt” with his teddy friends!

Playing is the best part:
There will be many different bears at your picnic so why don't you have a best dressed contest? Norbert says he always has prizes for the tallest and smallest teddy. Decorating teddy bear cookies are also a popular activity.

If you don't have a teddy bear of your very own, come visit your local Stor-All Storage location to pick up your new Norbert!
